Met name in de avond is dit een plek waar (jonge)mannen elkaar ontmoeten. Aan de andere kant van de gracht bij museum de Fundatie ligt de Potgietersingel. Dit was vroeger een druk bezochte cruise-plek. Het park is veel opener geworden en trekt in de avonduren vooral (hang)jongeren. Het cruisen is daardoor verplaatst naar Park Eekhout.
