In summer, many hot (muscular) gay men gather at Marineterrein to show off their bodies, take a swim and relax. Between Pension Homeland and the Commandantswoning, the majority is gay. Many young men flirt with others who are sunbathing or swimming. Cruising takes place in the water, in toilets, and many pick up someone from Marineterrein and take them home.
