Lots of gay cruising in the daytime and at night at Jarrow Slake on the abandoned wharf along the river.
An isolated, wild and derelict wharf area alongside the River Tyne, surrounded by bushes. Large parking area. Leave car and walk up sloping path through bushes and through the gateway which is open. Alternatively, go down to river foreshore, turn left and through the large gap in the rai.
