There is a fishing spot located under the bridge. Access is a paved road just before the river, on the left side traveling away from Lafayette, but it's only about a 3 minute drive. There is a gravel parking area just before you go under the bridge to the fishing area. Park in that area so the people fishing (if any) can't see you. Back into a parking spot, and if another car pulls up & backs in too, then flash your lights 3x and roll down your window far enough to hear invite.
