The hot mineral springs near the village of Rupite has been a favourite spot for gay cruising since the Roman times, when the area was known as Heraclea Sintica. There are several open-air mineral ponds, but the main cruising takes place in the indoors men's bathhouse. Although the venue is not exclusively gay, the crowd inside is predominantly men who are looking for more than just the healing properties of the hot mineral water. Discretion is advised.
